The basic human needs and intention list below can help you find common ground with almost anyone. 

We all have Needs and they are expressed and realized through our Intentions. When you want to find common ground, understand that the other person has basic needs that he or she wants fulfilled. Use the following list to help you explore with them what they are and what he or she wants. What their intention is. When you do this you will have a better understanding of them and it will be easier to find common ground and negotiate compromise.
